There are important details like building’s foundation, quality of construction, building plan which must be paid attention to make informed choices and to have long-term peace of mind.

A strong foundation makes for a strong building. A sturdy foundation will ensure the building remains strong and sturdy through the years. It will be helpful to learn how a foundation is laid down to evaluate if it has been done right.

Excavation- After the levelling and clearing of the site, the earth is dug out to achieve the required level. The taller the building, the deeper the excavation is going to be.

Piling- Piles are set after the excavation is completed. These piles form the foundation of the building and provide support for the weight of the building.

Vertical Columns- After the completion of the pile foundation, vertical columns are installed. They give support to the walls of the building and transfer the load to the foundation.

Beams- Horizontal beams connect the various vertical columns and help in supporting the subsequent slabs.

Slabs- Slabs are formed on top of the columns and beams and allow for the walls to be built in accordance with the floor plan. This replication is what completes the building structure.

These services are primarily sanitary, plumbing fixtures, firefighting equipment, power supply etc. Building services provide sustenance and functionality to the building. These include the following:

Opening like windows and doors being added

Tiling of the floors of the building

The aesthetics of the building which include painting and adding landscape elements around the structure.

The final step is getting the approval after completion of the building. A Municipal officer inspects the structure to ensure it has been built according to the approved plan.
